Small Town Remedy Character Featurette Introduces the Town

On the eve of its premiere, Small Town Remedy (小城良方) released a character featurette of just over four minutes on its official Weibo account on October 20. CCTV's drama channel shared it the same day under the tag for the next night's premiere, and the producer, Linmon Pictures (柠萌影视), posted it to its YouTube channel.

The official caption describes one man returning with something weighing on him, and a crowd of people, each with a temper of their own, who go from keeping their distance to slowly drawing closer.

That man is Liu Zhengliang (刘铮亮), played by Xiao Zhan (肖战): a gifted doctor whose career collapses and who is forced back to his small hometown in Northeast China. Around him are hospital director Long Dongdong (龙冬冬, Ni Dahong 倪大红), Ai Chen (艾辰, Jiang Yan 姜妍), his old friend Chen Junnan (陈俊南, Wang Yanlin 王彦霖), colleague Huang Dongsheng (黄东升, Zhang Guoqiang 张国强) and his younger brother Liu Zhengguang (刘铮光, Shi Pengyuan 史彭元).

The drama premieres October 21 with two episodes a night on CCTV-8 and streams on iQIYI. Availability outside mainland China varies.
