iQIYI Trailer: Small Town Remedy's Doctor Comes Home to a Missing Mother

iQIYI's Taiwan YouTube channel (iQIYI TW) released two new trailers for Small Town Remedy (小城良方) on October 20, the day before its premiere. The first spells out the premise more plainly than any earlier promo: in the channel's words, a gifted doctor, played by Xiao Zhan (肖战), returns home after a setback and only then learns that his mother is seriously ill and missing.

Until now the official material had only hinted at the family story. A clip on the show's Weibo account on October 19 spoke of Liu Zhengliang (刘铮亮) missing his mother, Li Zhongling (李忠玲), played by Jiang Hongbo (姜宏波), without saying where she was.

The second trailer is lighter: Liu's first day at work, colleagues who all seem a little off, and an old adversary who leaps up and brings a big water bucket down on his head.

The drama premieres October 21 with two episodes a night on CCTV-8 and streams on iQIYI. Availability outside mainland China varies.
