Mobius

Ding Qi (丁奇) is a police officer in the city of Hua'ao (华澳市) and has a secret. Whenever a "loop day" (循环日) appears, the same day restarts up to five times, and he keeps his memories of the earlier runs. He uses that to solve cases that would otherwise stay unsolved, changing his choices each time.

Then a bank explosion is followed by a series of deaths that look like accidents, and a mysterious figure with the code name "Squid" (乌贼) begins sending new death threats. Ding Qi has to use each restart to look for clues and stop the next tragedy, but the case does not always repeat as he remembers it, and whatever sits behind the loops starts to close in.

The show is set in the present day in the city of Hua'ao.

It is adapted from the novel Ni Shi Zhen Cha Zu (逆时侦查组, "the reverse-time investigation team") by Zhang Xiaomao (张小猫), and the screenwriter is Bi Qiang (毕蔷), who has a background as a journalist and mystery novelist. The Paper described the premise as a team of elite detectives, scientists, criminologists and network experts facing a criminal organization that uses time loops, artificial intelligence and big data, and placed it in the Chinese genre of "infinite loop" (无限流, wuxianliu) stories.

Mobius premiered on iQIYI on September 17, 2025, with the international version released on Netflix at the same time, and it aired on Dragon TV the next evening.
