The Long Season

In the fictional northeastern industrial city of Hualin, former train driver Wang Xiang now drives a taxi. A dismemberment case and a hit-and-run involving a cloned license plate lead him back to an unsolved crime from years earlier, set against layoffs and state-enterprise reform. The story moves between 1997, 1998 and 2016 as a missing father, a dead lover and an old friend are bound by a single unanswered mystery across three eras. Fan Wei plays Wang Xiang, with Qin Hao and Chen Minghao. The 12-episode series premiered on Tencent Video on 22 April 2023.
