Chīcù means to be jealous, usually in a romantic sense. Literally it is eating vinegar, the sour taste standing in for the sting of watching someone you like give attention to another person. Viewers of Where the Mask Ends applied it to Lu Zhuo, praising how even his sulking over his wife had vinegar in it.
