Kongxuezheng is the everyday Chinese name for an intense fear of snow, which medicine classes as a specific phobia (chionophobia). Literally it means 'fear-snow condition'. People use it both for the clinical fear and, loosely, for anyone who dreads snowy weather. In Small Town Remedy, the official featurette says Liu Zhengliang was left with it after an accident involving his father on a snowy day.
