Small Town Remedy's 'Bu Chashi' Trailer Lands Two Days Before Premiere

Two days before its October 21 premiere, Small Town Remedy (小城良方) released a new trailer on its official Weibo account on October 19, titled with a bit of Northeastern slang: bù chàshì (不差事, roughly "decent, someone you can count on"). The producer, Linmon Pictures (柠萌影视), posted an English-subtitled version on its YouTube channel the same day.

The official caption sets the tone: small-town days pass slowly, friendships build up bit by bit, and stay together long enough and you are hooked.

Xiao Zhan (肖战) plays Liu Zhengliang (刘铮亮), a gifted doctor whose career collapses and who is forced back to his hometown in Northeast China to start over. The supporting cast includes Ni Dahong (倪大红) as hospital director Long Dongdong (龙冬冬), Jiang Yan (姜妍) as Ai Chen (艾辰) and Wang Yanlin (王彦霖) as Chen Junnan (陈俊南).

The drama airs two episodes a night on CCTV-8 from October 21 and streams on iQIYI, where VIP members get four episodes on the first night and two a day after that. Availability outside mainland China varies.
