Northeastern Chinese slang. On its own, 差事 (chàshì) describes a person who lets others down or a job done shoddily; 不差事 is the opposite — someone who does right by people, or a thing that holds up. It is praise in the understated Northeastern way: closer to 'solid' or 'a good sort' than to anything effusive. Small Town Remedy, set in a small city in China's northeast, used it as the title of a trailer about friendships that build up slowly.
