A Moment But Forever

Tens of thousands of years ago the gods fought a demon god. The god Tai He (泰和) sealed it away with the divine artifact known as the Left Hand of God, but the artifact broke and fell into the human world. The gods sank into sleep, and the three realms have seen no miracles since. Meanwhile the War Ghost clan (战鬼族) rises.

Heaven sends the goddess Wushuang (无双), whose true name is Ji Tanyin (姬谭音, Tang Yan), down in the form of a young human woman. She enters the home of the fox-spirit Youhu clan (有狐族) as the servant of its priest Yuan Zhong (源仲, Liu Xueyi, 刘学义), whose body has long held the Left Hand. Her plan is to take it back. But she finds a man shunned and slandered by his own people, though he holds the power to defend himself. She decides to protect him and help him break the seal, and to share what time he has left.

The world is mythic, with a divine realm, a human world, the Youhu clan and the War Ghost clan. It is adapted from the web novel Tian Xia Wu Shuang (天下无双, "peerless under heaven") by Shi Si Lang (十四郎), serialised on Jinjiang Literature City (晋江文学城). Wushuang (无双) means "peerless" and is the heroine's name; the drama's title adds nian (念), "to think of".

The series was made by iQIYI's Qilin Studio (爱奇艺奇霖工作室). Filming ran from July to December 2023 at Hengdian and Xiangshan. Liu Xueyi won the 2025 Wenrong Award (文荣奖) for playing Yuan Zhong, according to Sina Entertainment, and thanked Tang Yan for her professionalism in his speech.
