Snowy Night Timeless Love

Huo Zhanbai (霍展白, played by Zeng Shunxi, 曾舜晞) is an unrestrained swordsman of the jianghu (江湖, "rivers and lakes", the wandering martial-arts world). He goes looking for medicine for a friend's child and finds Xue Ziye (薛紫夜), master of Yaoshi Valley (药师谷, "Healer's Valley"), a physician who lives there after being exiled on a false charge.

His arrival disturbs her quiet life. Over eight years of coming and going they move from separate convictions to something closer to mutual rescue, and they make a plan to drink together under a plum tree the following year. Their responsibilities keep getting in the way of saying what they feel. Other figures from the original novel, including the characters Tong (瞳, played by Chen Haosen, 陈昊森) and Miaofeng (妙风, played by Wang Hongyi, 王弘毅), orbit the valley and complicate the picture.

The genre is wuxia (武侠, "martial heroes"), the tradition of swordsmen, chivalry and the jianghu.

The series adapts the novel of the same name by Cang Yue (沧月). Beijing News describes the love story as set within a jianghu of chivalry and traditional Chinese aesthetics. The drama was produced by Huace Keton's subsidiary Syndicate Pictures (辛迪加影视), Juku Media (剧酷传播) and iQIYI, and directed by Ren Haitao (任海涛), who had earlier directed Eternal Love (三生三世十里桃花). Jiemian News wrote at the time of the premiere that the cast and the scale of the source property gave it the look of a top-tier production, and presented it as one of the major costume romances of that October.

As of October 24, 2026, iQIYI's own page for the series shows a 7.8 rating.
