Zhixing lian is internet slang for being drawn to someone's intelligence above their looks, roughly what English calls being sapiosexual. People use it of themselves ("I'm a zhixing lian") and of couples whose romance is built on matching wits. Drama marketing has picked it up for pairings of two clever leads who solve problems together. The makers of Coroner's Diary described its leads as a couple of this kind, a pairing of minds rather than a romance for its own sake.
