Bai Lu and Chen Zheyuan Confirmed to Star in Yu Zheng's New Costume Drama Echoes

Bai Lu (白鹿) and Chen Zheyuan (陈哲远) are officially teaming up to headline Echoes (Zhao Yu Jie, 朝玉阶), a costume drama with Yu Zheng (于正) as producer. The cast was announced at iQIYI’s autumn showcase on September 23, which was also Bai Lu’s birthday; fans called it a birthday present.

Yu Zheng has stressed that the series is an original script by screenwriter Ren Yanan (任亚南), not an adaptation of a web novel of the same name, and reports describe an all-female creative team. Bai Lu plays two roles, and in a birthday livestream she said the makeup and styling will let viewers tell the two characters apart at a glance. It is her second collaboration with Ren, after Lin Jiang Xian (临江仙).

A broadcast platform and premiere date have not been announced.
