Costume Drama Where the Mask Ends Premieres Globally

The new Chinese costume drama Where the Mask Ends (嫁金钗) officially premiered on October 16, 2026. The series is broadcast on CCTV-8 and streams on Youku for domestic audiences, while also launching globally on Netflix. Directed by Yang Long (杨龙), the show stars Tian Xiwei (田曦薇) in the lead role. The story follows A Chou (阿丑), a girl who collects night soil for a living, whose resemblance to a noble house's daughter sends her into the Duke's household as a substitute bride, where her identity and fortunes turn; Tian plays both A Chou, the real daughter Wei Rao (魏娆), and Jun Dai (君黛), the false one.
