Where the Mask Ends (嫁金钗), a Youku costume drama starring Tian Xiwei (田曦薇), entered Netflix's global Top 10 for non-English TV at No. 7 for the week of October 12–18, with 1.6 million views, in the list Netflix published on Tuesday, October 20.

Netflix publishes the list every Tuesday for the Monday-to-Sunday week before. It ranks titles by views, which Netflix calculates as hours viewed divided by a title's runtime, and this one is the "TV (Non-English)" list. Where the Mask Ends logged 12.2 million hours viewed; its runtime is listed as varying.

Six titles ranked above it. Doctor X: Mafia in White led with 7.1 million views, followed by Take Charge of My Heart (6.4 million), The Trap (5.4 million), 100 Days of Deception (2.8 million), Not a Stranger (2.1 million) and Inside The Circle (2.0 million). Three titles with 1.2 million views each filled Nos. 8 to 10: STEEL BALL RUN JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, The Apothecary Diaries: Season 3 and The Ramparts of Ice: Season 2.

Only part of the chart week counted for the drama. It premiered on Friday, October 16, so the figures cover three days of availability: October 16, 17 and 18.

China News Service reported on October 16 that the series was airing that day on CCTV-8 and Youku, with a simultaneous release on Netflix worldwide. It is directed by Yang Long (杨龙) and written by Zhou Mo (周末).

Tian Xiwei plays two women who share a face. Wei Rao (魏娆) is the real daughter of a noble house, switched as a child and raised on the streets as A Chou (阿丑), a girl who collects night soil. Jun Dai (君黛) is the false daughter, raised in comfort. A Chou is sent into the Duke's household as the bride of Lu Zhuo (陆濯), played by Yan An (闫桓), in Wei Rao's name. Our guide to the drama is at Where the Mask Ends. The series is adapted from the web novel of the same name by Xiao Jiaren (小佳人).
