Jianzhi is the credit translated here as 'supervising producer'. It names a senior figure who oversees the creative direction and quality of a series, usually a producer or a well-known director who does not direct episodes. The title also appears as zong jianzhi, 'chief supervisor'. The credit signals backing: Zhao Liying's first jianzhi credit was The Legend of Shen Li, and Feng Xiaogang was credited on Sword Dynasty.
