Hao Yi Ge Guai Guai Nü, a horizontal remake of a hit micro-drama, premieres on Tencent Video

Hao Yi Ge Guai Guai Nü (好一个乖乖女; listed on TMDB as Quite the Girl), a horizontal-format remake of a hit 2025 vertical micro-drama, began streaming on October 12 on Tencent Video (腾讯视频), according to Hong Kong outlet HK01 and Shanghai's The Paper (澎湃新闻). HK01 adds that it also airs on Aurora TV (极光TV).

Xu Mengjie (徐梦洁) plays Lu Mingyu (鹿鸣于) and Ren Shihao (任世豪) plays Duan Xiuming (段休冥), HK01 reports. It lists Liu Tan (刘坦) as director and Li Xiang (黎响) and Hou Xiao (侯晓) as writers. HK01's plot summary has Lu Mingyu planning to escape her uncle's household and deciding to use Duan, heir to the Duan family, in her revenge, only for her cold calculation to soften.

The story began as a vertical micro-drama, a series of very short episodes shot in portrait format for phones, usually on dedicated apps. That version, starring Ke Chun (柯淳) and Yu Yin (余茵), launched on February 3, 2025, on the Hongguo (红果) app, Jiemian News (界面新闻) reported at the time. The Paper says the 88-episode original has passed 4 billion views across platforms.

The Paper describes the remake as a mid-length series built from that short drama, and says it adds three storylines: a broken wedding, a faked death and a confrontation at an art exhibition. It also expands the heroine's inner life and gives Duan Xiuming a position of his own rather than leaving him a tool of her plan.

The remake runs 29 episodes, according to Tencent Video's release calendar. HK01 says members get two episodes a day at noon after a six-episode opening drop.
